We welcome Dan Clark, Director of Iowa Prison Industries (IPI) to our December meeting. Dan was appointed to this position last April, he brings over 30 years of management experience in manufacturing, operations, sales and new product development. Previously, he had served three terms on the IPI Advisor Board and has held management positions with Synthos Sourcing, Kemin Industries, Titan Tire, Fisher-Price and United Technologies. Dan holds an MBA from the University of Buffalo and MS in Operations Research from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He will provide an overview of IPI’s statewide operations.
Dan has invited Shawn Preston, IPI’s manager of Mitchellville operations to join him on Tuesday. Shawn will describe the operations of their activities at ICIW.
On December 15, 1791, the first Ten Amendments were added to the United States Constitution.
In the Upcoming Events section of the recent Justice Reform Consortium Newsletter we have mentioned that the Friends of Iowa Women Prisoners meeting is on the 15th. That is incorrect. The meeting date is December 20 from noon to 1:00 pm.
